What?

You're a creative soul. But you long to feel an inner sense of space, purpose, safeness and ground to land on, when you feel your mind and life pull you off track and gets in the way. Our daily to do lists, life’s challenges and the feeling it is not safe to take up too much space, let our long-term dreams waver.

You know you have a playful essence and freedom to explore and express. It just feels hard to connect to sometimes. You might even feel you hold yourself and your voice back sometimes – starting to doubt its worth and value, by overthinking and censoring yourself. Or even worse – you can’t feel what you want, need or what gives you a sense of joyful meaning and expression to your life.

The Elephant

is showing up because it is time to deepen our trust in our own nature. In our ability, resourcefulness, and power to stand steady, grounded, knowing the truth of our nature and move forward — even though the wind blows and everything seems to be shifting and changing.

This safe-held group journey with equal-minded creative souls — is a space where we can practice grounding in and building trust in our ability to playfully share of ourselves authentically, in our full size, while staying grounded and present with what is — instead of people pleasing, fighting to be heard, or censoring ourselves.

This space to arrive, connect, and playfully explore, experience, and grow is an invitation to anchor into an inner certainty of your worth that the wind can't reach, no matter who understands you and who doesn't.

The elephant carries that certainty: abundance, playful grace, strength, and will, all in one body. It can step over a fence without breaking a single wire — or walk straight through a wall when one truly needs to come down. Grace and force, both available, both chosen on purpose. And none of it has to be so serious.

What's Included

•    6 Live Group Sessions, Sundays 10:30–17:00, Amsterdam

–   5 Studio Sessions + 1 Weekend in Nature (integration)

•    1 Private 1:1 Session (75 min), planned along the way when you need it

•    Guided journeys each session

•    Closed group thread with prompts and check-ins between sessions

•    Missed session compensated with a 1:1 (75 min)

How?

•    Voice techniques and improvisation, physical and somatic exercises, guided journeys, and tools to awaken your senses and imagination — held in a warm, empowering group atmosphere.

The Journey

1 — Ground & Space · 4 October — the body as ground, meeting the part that learned to shrink

2 — Voice  & Freedom· 1 November — releasing the voice from performance and permission-seeking

3 — Play & Flow · 13 December — trusting play and impulse over control

4 — Guidance & Mind · 17 January — zero point, journey to your point of creation, intuitive guidance

5 — Closing & Preparing · 14 February — weaving it together, preparing to live it

March & April — still in connection, but planting the seeds of Spring and new found ground alone

6 — Weekend in Nature · May/June (TBC) — full embodiment and integration, together in celebration

Full trajectory: 5 studio sessions, 1 private session, closing weekend in nature.

Sliding scale and payment plans available.

Who am I?

I'm Leela — I came to Amsterdam from Denmark (born in India) to study modern dance, and found Mime (physical theatre) instead.

Twelve years teaching voice improvisation (Briesen) at the Mime School in Amsterdam, seven years of paleolithic shamanic study with Chief Dancing Thunder, and a lifelong weaving of my love for theatre, nature, and spirit — this is Tree Songs, and this is Voice of the Elephant.

Previous voice trajectories have been magical and transformative – (Voice of the Deer, Voice of the Wolf, Voice of the Raven & the Rainbow, Voice of the Panther a.o.)

It is a pure joy to guide us to this space of inner freedom, flow, connection and play. Where our Nature comes alive and singing feels like expressing the life we are. Effortlessly.
